Windows Server 2012 R2 Improvements

«Customer overview» R2 Windows Server 2012 should appear near Microsoft developers to create event June 26, although Microsoft has said that it would begin this month. The version of the final product is expected later this year, with System Center 2012 R2. Update Windows Intune is expected then, also.

Some of the nuances R2 explained during a session of Microsoft Tech Ed, which was held this month by Jeff Woolsey, director of the program's Windows Server and cloud. His presentation also included a review of improvements in Windows Server 2012, but mainly focuses on the new details of R2. The R2 especially advance networks computing capabilities and Microsoft Storage had begun with Windows Server 2012. Many of the improvements are designed to solve problems in particular for cloud services providers.

Windows Server 2012 already has some workload capacity advancements over Windows Server 2008 R2, as shown in this slide shown by Woolsey:

He stressed that Windows Azure is running the same Hyper-V technology and the same Windows Server 2012 as versions installed in the premises of the Microsoft client. He added a launch marketing, arguing that labour loads of Microsoft best tests on the hypervisor Microsoft Hyper-V and that every day, within Microsoft server and tools more than 25 000 virtual machines (VMS) per day division, at a minimum, with an average of 500,000 virtual machines tested by months. Woolsey replaced current message of three clouds of Microsoft, which offers businesses an option to the public tap, private or service provider clouds or the use of an approach hybrid. He compared this approach with the competition.

"If you talk with VMware, they will tell you,' you know what, the cloud is this running thing in the bottom corner;" It is somewhat private. ' "Or are still working on a kind of hybridy that no one understands, said Woolsey. 'Talk to Amazon, they say, ' the clouds is not actually up VMs in Amazon - which is this of pure - a - service'. If you talk with Salesforce, they will tell you something different. They say: "no, no, no, or those who are cloud. " We fundamentally disagree with all this. Cloud is all these things.

Its widest point was that cloud and virtualization are different things, and that Microsoft has used its knowledge of the Windows Azure cloud to build your server, such as Windows Server R2 2012 products, using the same technologies.
